Marley from Mission Grove Primary School has sent us a great overview of Arctic animals, check it out:
Arctic chills
Habitat
In the Arctic there are long cold winters and short summers. The arctic occupies approximately one sixth of the earth’s surface. The Arctic is almost entirely covered in water.
Animals in the arctic
Polar bears, arctic wolves and musk’s.
Arctic wolves are a subspecies of a grey wolf. There are approximately 200 left in the wild. And 50 in captivity.
Many polar bears have adaptations and that makes polar bears uniquely suited to life in an icy habitat.
How they are mammals
- They have a back bone
- They give birth to live young
- They are warm blooded
